Reengineering a Non-Profit

By the late 1990's, federated giving by the Jewish community was in the doldrums.

United Jewish Communnities, the 6th largest philanthropy in America (despite the Jewish population of the US falling below 2% of all Americans) was experiencing 0% real growth in donations and secular declines in numbers of gifts.

In Boston, I helped McKinsey complete a pro-bono strategic analysis of Combined Jewish Philanthropies.

I took the plan to the Hauser Center for Non-Profits at Harvard to explore on how to best use reengineering and the Internet to radically transform the federated fundraising and community mobilization model.
